What’s usually most important to me is peace and quiet and a comfortable bed. The bed is honestly the comfiest Airbnb bed I’ve slept in and top 5 mattresses I’ve slept in anywhere and I spend at least 60% of my year away even during Covid times. I didn’t even need to use the mattress topper I travel with.

The cottage although compact is extremely well kitted out and stylishly decorated. The outdoor area is such a delight with a daybed and swinging egg chair, gorgeous native plants and the sound of the ocean and birds soothing you. Although I didn’t use the bike it was thoughtful touches like this that I appreciated.

The location just a couple of houses down from the beach, down the street from grocery, pharmacy and restaurants was very convenient even though I had a car.

Communication was prompt, friendly and excellent. I can highly recommend this place as a convenient, peaceful, comfortable place to stay just a short few minutes from Byron bay. Thanks Donatella!

Donatella thought of absolutely everything when designing this space. From the smell of fresh flowers that greet you as you walk in the door, to the beach towels, extra blankets, organic toiletries, plush towels, and lovely porch swing - you almost don't want to leave the cottage to explore! On the walls are all these beautiful sayings of self affirmation and positive thoughts related to the beach setting the tone for your vacation. It was absolute bliss!

Not only is the space beautiful, you are literally a stone's throw from the beautiful Tallow beach. If that beach isn't enough for you, Donatella has a welcome pack put together telling you about the area and all of the secret local spots that are worth checking out. My sister and I spent three days here and checked out 5 of the beaches in the packet! The famous Suffolk Bakery is a two minute walk from the front door and Byron is a short 10 minute drive.

Check in was super easy, as Donatella sent detailed instructions and maps on how to find the White Cottage and do a self check-in. We did happen to lock ourselves out by accident and Donatella was quick to reply to our text and let us in.

The White Cottage exceeded all expectations! If you are planning a trip to Byron look no further!

Donatella, thank you for everything! You made our trip more than just memorable. So look forward to seeing you next year at your little piece of paradise!

We could see and feel how much effort was put into every little detail of the place, we had a long stay and didnt need to go get any amenities from the shops as all was available and ready for our use - it felt like home away from home. kitchen was user friendly, fresh fruit on the counter, coffee pods in the jar.

bed was very soft and bedroom was dark with curtains drawn. you could hear the waves crashing in the distance all night and the rain softly falling on the roof and garden.

she had a picnic rug, beach umbrella, 2x actual umbrellas, bathrobes, beach towels... we couldn't believe how well we were catered for.

location - well it's 2 min bike ride (bikes included!) to the Suffolk bakery (spinach+feta +macadamia pie...) and 2 min walk to the beach. Doesn't get much better.
