  The White Cottage was a dream. It was raining much of the time I was there and I was so grateful to have such a cozy space that I... read more genuinely wanted to be at. It felt very safe, comfortable, welcoming, clean, warm and a bright and creative aesthetic. Everything I could have wanted was already thought of and provided. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen stocked, beach towels available and so many sweet touches.

If you're a digital nomad, it might be helpful for you to know that the internet cut in and out many times throughout the week and was sometimes under 5 mbps. But other times was fast enough for a steady Zoom or (Hidden by Airbnb) call. When I let Donatella know, however, she was very responsible and got it to work again right away.

Lastly, the proximity to the beach was epic. I could hear the waves lulling me to sleep at night and it was so close I could have my feet in the sand within 2 minutes.

kitchen was user friendly, fresh fruit on the counter, coffee pods in the jar.

bed was very soft and bedroom was dark with curtains drawn. you could hear the waves crashing in the distance all night and the rain softly falling on the roof and garden.

she had a picnic rug, beach umbrella, 2x actual umbrellas, bathrobes, beach towels... we couldn't believe how well we were catered for.

location - well it's 2 min bike ride (bikes included!) to the Suffolk bakery (spinach+feta +macadamia pie...) and 2 min walk to the beach. Doesn't get much better.

5 stars, great value, forget the flogs in the centre of Byron, this was perfect.

  Donatella's space is nothing short of perfection. The pictures do it absolutely no justice. The minute you walk in the gate of this gorgeous cottage you can feel the... read more amount of love and attention to detail that went into creating this little piece of paradise. Donatella thought of absolutely everything when designing this space. From the smell of fresh flowers that greet you as you walk in the door, to the beach towels, extra blankets, organic toiletries, plush towels, and lovely porch swing - you almost don't want to leave the cottage to explore! On the walls are all these beautiful sayings of self affirmation and positive thoughts related to the beach setting the tone for your vacation. It was absolute bliss!

Not only is the space beautiful, you are literally a stone's throw from the beautiful Tallow beach. If that beach isn't enough for you, Donatella has a welcome pack put together telling you about the area and all of the secret local spots that are worth checking out. My sister and I spent three days here and checked out 5 of the beaches in the packet! The famous Suffolk Bakery is a two minute walk from the front door and Byron is a short 10 minute drive.

Check in was super easy, as Donatella sent detailed instructions and maps on how to find the White Cottage and do a self check-in. We did happen to lock ourselves out by accident and Donatella was quick to reply to our text and let us in.

The White Cottage exceeded all expectations! If you are planning a trip to Byron look no further!

I loved all the small touches like organic products in the bathroom, filtered water and a heater for the cold winter mornings. The bed was soo comfy and I really appreciated the linen sheets. She doesn’t skimp on anything and you know she really wants you to fully and completely enjoy your experience. The complementary bikes (with helmets and locks) were super handy.
